A little Christmas tour

Melissa at The Inspired Room (a great blog to keep up with!!)asked for some Holiday post–So here’s what I have done so far.
The mantel.

The little niche near the front door. I usually load this up with my Nutcracker collection-but I wanted something more modern. I love all the glass jars filled with things- so I gathered every vase and jar I could find- pulled out my ornaments and bought some cheap faux snow at Walmart ($2.00 a bag!) added a little ribbon and ta-da!

I also filled one of my glass lidded jars with green Christmas balls for my kitchen dining table. Subtle but nice.

I am now working on a brown and blue tomato cage tree for my bedroom- that post to come soon!

  1. Love your beautiful setup of glass jars filled with christmas balls and “snow”. I cannot wait to see that tree you’re working on!

  2. Wow! I’m impressed. I’m still trying to get everything taken care of for Thanksgiving. Your decorations look beautiful! 🙂

  3. That looks really beautiful. I like the shelf or ledge with the jars filled with gold and red…I have a suggestion…is that ok. I think it would be beautiful to add some little twinkle lights by your red and gold filled jars. That way at night it would “glisten” or “sparkle”. I really like your idea of filling up the glass jars with ornaments..it really makes a striking and beautiful display!

I love that idea!! It is so simple, yet so elegant at the same time!

I was looking for something new this year…& now I’ve found it!

    Thanks for sharing!

  5. Beautiful! You’ve done a lot!

  6. Hiagain, I would get little lights that have a white cord, maybe wrap them in that gorgeous gold ribbon you have or put the cord behind the ribbone up against the wall, probably disguise it with your beautiful ribbon would be the best. I’ve been thinking about your post all morning, it is so beautiful the way you arranged things! I love it!
    have an awesome day!

Very pretty. I admire those of you that are so ahead of the game…I’m not even sure where my Christmas decorations are!

I love those glass jars and those green ornaments! and I totally get what you said in an earlier post about starting Christmas early-the munchkins kind of slow things down (and mess things up!)

Is it bad I haven’t even begun to think about decorating? is that bad? I’m a bad pre-wife huh?
