My daughters room

Because I can’t stay focused on one project at a time- I have moved from working on my boy’s room to my daughters room.  It all started with this Jill Rosenwald rug from Surya:

Then I ordered this fabric from Caitlin Wilson (which is now out of stock-so glad I ordered when I did!)

And this button-tufted upholstered headboard:

But it will be upholstered in this velvet caribbean blue fabric:

I still have not decided on a paint color- Im going to wait till the fabric & headboard arrive before I make my decision.  Now if I can just stay focused on her room to get it finished!  But that ding-dang Pinterest gets me all inspired and I move onto something else- like this room:

Kelly Wearstler Imperial Trellis drapery in green!- yes please! but I would need 24 yards to cover all my living room/dining room windows! *sigh*  oh well….
By the way you can follow me on Pinterest and all my A.D.D decorating inspiration HERE.

Oh and a BIG thank you all for the sweet birthday wishes! I had a great day-minus catching a nasty cold, but hubby bought me this book- so I curled up with it and a cup of tea:

  1. Oh good, I’m not the only scatter-brained one. I jump all over the house. This year I’m trying to stay a little more on track and finish projects I start (but it’s so dang hard)!

  2. I know how how you feel! I STILL have not finished my daughter’s room either. I think my readers are wondering what happened. Love the oversized round mirrors in the pin picture. Feel better!

    It is good to know I’m not the only one with several half finished projects out there. Loving what you’ve picked out so far for your daughter’s room! Its going to look great!

  5. Happy Birthday! What a wonderful plan for the room. I had ordered that sample and sadly have no where to use it. Such gorgeous fabric. Can’t wait to see it all come together.

  6. Happy Birthday! I love that fabric for your daughter’s room. That would go perfectly with the colors I’m thinking of for my craft room/office! Too bad it’s sold out!! I guess I’ll just have to get creative :-).

  7. The fabric is gorgeous! Look forward to seeing your magic take place with this one! 🙂

  9. I am laughing! Yes our career along makes it hard to stay focused on one room! I was awake at 3 this morning thinking about my bedroom then a clients project, then my living room! Love that rug and the fabric…. but OUCH that would break the bank! {hugs}

  10. That is going to be a gorgeous room! Love that fabric. Its hard for me to stay focused on one project at a time, too, so you are not the only one!
