Brassy Spray Paint

So after seeing this post from Cassie over at Hi Sugarplum-  I headed to my local hardware store for some brass gold spray paint.

I took this little white boot vase from this:

To this:  Sha-zam!!

And my GoodWill horse from this:

To this:

Now don’t hold me to this- you may come back next month and that boot is a sunny yellow and my horse a racey red- I’ve been known to change things up when I get bored.

  1. It is sooo funny to me-I was born in the mid-70s (without saying my age) ha! and 5 years ago brass was disgusting! Now, I am totally with you! I sprayed a vase shiny gold a few weeks ago and I am in love! Now I want a side table gold too! Funny how my mom always told me things ‘come and go’ and boy was she right!

  2. Ah, the beauty of spray paint! Loving brass these days — now I need to pick up some brass spray paint and go to town. 🙂

  3. That’s what I love about spray paint! A little boost to things you already own. And so easy to change. I love the brass!

I love the new brassy look, but I know what you mean. I’m a little trigger happy with the spray paint too.

  5. What on earth would we do without spray paint?!! Love your finds in their new finishes!

  6. Ha! I love your “disclaimer” about the urge to spray paint things! Yesterday I was in a white mood…grabbing several items as I walked around the room!

  7. Love them both! I actually noticed the boot yesterday in the background of your living room pics and though it looked divine!

  8. Shapow!!! Looks so great! you and will have Liberace’s Lair together 🙂

  9. Oh the spray paint! That horse would look awesome in red! Cassie is guest posting for my weekly meeting for all of us addicts! Love seeing ordinary objects become fabulous!

It’s so funny that brass is so in again…working in this industry it is fun to see all the things that were in are back in
