Welcome everyone! I am so excited and honored that I have been asked to share my holiday decor with you! I followed along with the 12 Days of Christmas Tour of Homes last year and enjoyed seeing how everyone dressed their homes up for Christmas.
The Tour of Homes kicked off yesterday with Jenny from Evolution of Style . Loved all her rooms, but my favorite had to be her downstairs living space with all the navy and grays!
She also dressed up her daughters room in red and green! So adorable!!
Make sure you stop by Jenny’s to see the rest of her home.
Ok so, I have to admit being an Interior Designer and living 24/7 around beautiful designs and inspiration everywhere can cause me to struggle when it comes to decorating my own home. I tire of things easily and am always wanting to push my designs to the next level. When it comes to my Christmas decor I usually start planning months ahead of time, deciding on my color palette and “theme”. Many years ago I would spend hundreds of dollars buying “all the things!” at the after Christmas sales- and hence began a serious Christmas hoarding problem. I have since changed my ways and now challenge myself to re-use my current Christmas decorations and my everyday decor pieces to create new and interesting vignettes each year.
This year was all about simplistic glam. I took the cues from my homes current color palette and injected lots of fresh greens, and mixed metals.
